Your own shadow may be the only thing you can see as you follow God's will.

Enter ye in at  the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to distrution, and many there be which go in thereat. Because straight is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it {Matthew 7:13,14}.

Only divinely led shepherds will feed the flock of God!!!

Throughout the Bible anyone with Spiritual eyes would be able to see God’s handy work from day one. We might not understand why He did some of the things He’s done in the past, and we may never be able to comprehend any of His actions taken in this day and time. However, one thing is very clear; He is a father who loves his children so much, so He decided to send His only begotten son, who willingly came down from heaven to save all men from hell and damnation. All the attributes are very clear in the character of Jesus. Before he was murdered, he taught his disciples the way they should live and then He appointed other men to be ministers, pastors, Bishops, but the pastor is the one who is to lead the sheep. This is the office that must never be neglected. Leading people is never an easy job. There are multiple complexities that come along with this office. This is but one reason why the man that is given this position must be filled with the Holy Spirit of the Lord, otherwise there is absolutely no way to lead the people of God. If there is any doubt in your mind regarding this fact, then you need to just read the Bible, and you will find that the Father called his children stiff necked and rebellious. He even warned them about the broad way that leads to destruction. He also alerted His people to the fact that when folk have been corrupted, they will then go down the devil’s path of confusion. OK let’s hear what the word has to say:

And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto Spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither ye now are ye able. For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal? {I Corinthians 3:1-4}.

Let’s look at this for a moment. First off, we can see this scripture is talking to people who proclaim with their lips that they are one of the redeemed of Christ Jesus, but their actions tell another story. Part of the message here is this. I want to talk to you as Christians, but you are acting as if you have never been converted through the salvation plan of the Lord. I have some blessed words to tell you but even now you are acting in an erratic way. Not only are you out of order, but also you are acting like babies. I have given you milk so that you could grow, but I have not given you meat that will choke you before you are ready to handle it. You are acting like an adult, but you are still children, and what I want to bless you with, you simply can’t handle it. OK, you need more proof? Here it goes: When you come to church, it’s to work out your own soul’s salvation with fear and tribulance and not to mettle in other folk’s lives. While in the church if people are found in the seat of envying, strife, divisions, the Bible says there is every evil work, and if that is the case, such individuals will be drawn to those with the same nature. These seem like citizens, will back the fake leader and in some cases are willing to argue and others will be willing to fight you over their leader when they believe he is the real deal. I have heard with my own ears people in the church say: “My pastor is a real man of God.” Then the other disputer says, “My pastor is better than yours because he has this or that and he is on TV.” Again, part of the message here is that all actions such as the above are the actions of carnal people. Listen, if you have been blessed with a real pastor, he will be able to hear your conversations through the Spirit, and then he will put you in check. The Lord also made it very clear that anyone who comes after Him must willingly give up everything to follow Him and take up their cross daily. Any man that puts his hands to the gospel plow and looks back, such a man is not fit for the kingdom of heaven. I’m expressing all of this so that you can get a clear idea who he should be and what the pastor’s job is, when it comes to the flock of God. He will not allow bickering in the house of the Lord. The word says this:

Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. For every kind of beast, and of birds, and serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: But the tongue; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison (James 3:5-8).

Listen, this is what Mead and Cooley said through their research on the self and the roles people play. The nature of social life is such that we feel we must present different aspects of ourselves in different situations. We are so used to presenting ourselves in a particular way, in particular situations, that we are usually not even aware we are doing it. When this behavior becomes an everyday routine, it’s easily overlooked. It’s only when we realize that we are being scrutinized by others do we become conscious of what we are doing and saying. The self that we present to others is closely linked to the role one happens to be playing at the time. We can observe the reactions of others to our own behavior. If the image that we see or imagine we have seen in the social mirror is favorable, then our self-concept is enhanced, and our behavior is likely to be repeated. If the image is unfavorable, then our self-concept is diminished, and our behavior is likely to change. In other words, if we see something likable to our needs and it takes root in our minds, then we will become that thing we desired. Whether it be new clothes or a car, we will do whatever it takes to obtain it. In other words, if you did not really receive salvation, you will become a carnal Christian because you do not have divinely covered leadership covering you. Hear the word once more.

If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation {Romans 10:9,10}.

God is in the saving business, but the devil and his people are in the confusion line of work; and carnality is all in their bloodline. Meaning to say, if you are not saved, then you are subject to follow the world and all its beliefs. If you decide to go that way, you will never seek out a shepherd of the Lord’s choosing. Once again, the day you find something or someone that you can derive pleasure from then that person or thing has become your god. The Bible says:

A fool’s lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes. A fool’s mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul. {Proverbs 18:6,7}.

If you have any of the traits below you are not saved; and if you call yourself a Christian and you are living according to any of the items below, you are a carnal Christian, and the Lord takes no pleasure from your life style.

1. A proud look

2. A lying tongue

3. Hands that shed innocent blood

4. A heart that is replete with wicked imaginations

5. Feet that are swift to run to mischief

6. A false witness who speak lies

7. He who sows discord among the brethren.

Now that I have illuminated this behavior, I pray that you are now able to see if you are carnal, and hopefully you will choose to come onto the Lord’s side whether you are saved or unsaved. Please get this: There is absolutely no way in this world that any unsaved person can detect whether someone is a real pastor or not. The word of God says these things are Spiritually discerning and no unsaved man can know what’s of the Spiritual realm, unless he has been converted and walking in the newness of salvation. Listen, I have seen this on many occasions: counterfeiter pastors taking all the money they can from the people who go to their churches. Then the people have nothing, and many can’t hardly feed their children, but because this so-called pastor makes them feel good in some ungodly way, they say nothing and keep bringing the cash. I know many of you out there have seen the evangelist come to your church and make all kinds of claims, as they deliver the so-called word from the Lord. However, the moment a divinely led man of God teaches against such folk many people in his church get mad and say he is outdated, and he needs to come into the future. What they don’t know, because they are presently blinded by their own sins, is the fact that God said in His word, "I’m God and I changed not." He also said, “I am the same yesterday, today and for ever more.” Even Solomon told us that there is nothing new under the sun. Yet, unsaved people still want to say God is trying to do a new thing, and don’t judge me because I am still a work in progress. The fact is that God is trying to get you to do the salvation thing, and then everything will fall in place. A relationship with the son means you will comply with the word and the leading of a real pastor. Let’s hear the word again.

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing (John 15:5).

Following a divinely led pastor can only be accomplished when a person has been converted through the salvation plan of the Father. As you have just read, unless you are connected to the vine, that means saved through the son who came to set us all free, you cannot have a connection. No connection with him means no relationship with the Creator who is the Father of all souls. Listen, the pastor is the watchman of your soul, and he can keep the devil off your back because that is part of what he does. The word says it clear.

Obey them that have the rule over you and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must given account, that it may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you {Hebrews 13:17}.

In other words, when the people that are placed under the care of God’s chosen leader, and then they will not comply with the word and will of the father, well then, they get what they get!!! Know this also, a real pastor willingly gives his life for the sheep. Listen and you need to get this. The pastor is not to travel the world and leave the sheep with someone else. That traveling is for the evangelists and the preachers that are supposed to be trained and then sent out into the world. The shepherd must stay with the sheep, because he is the only one who is divinely connected to deal with every situation. The assistant pastor is not the pastor, he is just a servant/ helper to the pastor. Now, if the Lord blesses and you have a mega church, then you must seek the Lord, and he will send men who are filled with the Spirit and they can then assist you with your assignment. As the pastor, you are ultimately in the drivers’ seat, because you are the head of everything and everyone. This is a full time charge. If you are on vacation that’s one thing but traveling and finding notoriety that’s a breach in the commission that you were given. Now, I know firsthand how hard it can be because I was an assistant pastor for five and a half years, and I tell you this, I would never want the job. Nevertheless, the Lord’s will must be done. Finally, unless you have a shepherd’s heart you will never feed the flock of the Lord, but you will feed your own self. And this is a very clear sign that you are a false weight and have no part with the Lord's divine will. You have a form of godliness, but you will not comply with His will. This means you have no love in your heart for yourself. Therefore, how is it that you think you can show and deliver love to others when you are part of the walking dead?
